BIOGAS:

What is Biogas?: Biogas is produced by organic materials as they break down naturally. It is composed of approximately 60% methane (the principle ingredient in natural gas) and 40% carbon dioxide.

Why Upgrade Biogas?: The carbon dioxide and other trace contaminants present in biogas are corrosive and will shorten the life span of process equipment. Having the ability to bring your biogas up to pipeline quality standards expands your downstream energy choices. Upgraded biogas is chemically equivalent to pure methane.

Who Produces Biogas?: Biogas is produced by both human activities and natural sources. Human activities include animal husbandry (livestock manure management programs), wastewater treatment facilities, landfills, coal mining and fossil fuel production. It is estimated that 60% of methane comes from human activities (1).
